WWII Polish Army Lieutenant Rogatywka Visor Cap

The cap crown is ribbed olive wool construction below which is a green velvet cap band, both trimmed in silver brocade which is toned with age. The front center of the cap band is embroidered with a single silver bullion star reflecting the rank of Second Lieutenant. The cap badge is toned silver over brass, with the Polish eagle bearing a crown. The black leather chin strap is in place and it is retained on each side by gilt Polish eagle buttons. The black leather visor is without cracks or crazing. The interior is fully lined in a gray Rayon material which bears perspiration stains in the crown. The wide gray leather sweatband is in place, also showing perspiration stains. Overall the cap is in excellent used condition.
