US 1920's-30's WWI Veterans Parade Helmet

Sold
$75.00

Description

Original era manufacture. An interesting example of a lightweight Doughboy helmet worn in parades by WWI veterans prior to WWII. Chromed steel shell with an army officers hat device affixed to the front. The simplified leather and canvas liner is in poor condition, however the canvas chinstrap is sound. Old corrosion finish to the exterior with areas of bright chrome remaining. This thing must have dazzled in the sunlight back in the day, first one of these we have owned.
