WWII Australian Made 'Knuckle Duster' Fighting Knife with Marine Corps Officer Attribution

Description

The fighting knife has an overall length out of the scabbard of approximately 10 3/4 inches, with a blade length of approximately 5 3/4 inches. The blade has spotting. The aluminum 'knuckle duster' grip shows use but the knife is in overall very good condition. The leather scabbard shows tooled decoration on its face and is complete and intact. Tied to the grip is a handwritten note stating that the knife was purchased from the estate of U.S. Marine Corps Captain Michael Stefanowicz, who served in the Pacific Theater with the First Marine Division. Captain Stefanowicz, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was born on April 25, 1921, and died on December 3, 2013.
