The group, as found and presently unattributed, consists of the following items:– A World War I era unnamed U.S. Army Distinguished Service Cross, full wrap brooch, numbered 16533;– A first issue unnamed Silver Star, split brooch suspension, numbered 32144, with the rear of the suspension marked 'BBB Co Phila', reflecting manufacture by the firm of Bailey, Banks & Biddle Company of Philadelphia;– A World War II era Purple Heart, slot brooch suspension, unnumbered and unnamed;– The single distinctive insignia of the 51st Regiment of the New York National Guard, pin back, maker marked by M.S. Bowman of New York City;– Screw back New York National Guard collar disk;– World War II era New York National Guard patch; and– World War II era 42nd Division patch.The medals show expected signs of age, but all of the items are in very good condition.
