Single Decal Waffen SS M42 Helmet

The exterior thick field gray / green paint is approximately 90% intact, while the single SS runes decal is about 80% complete. The liner is present and complete. The chin strap is also present but the strap was very cleanly cut below the buckle, so the entire chin strap is present, but cut in a single spot, a condition that is often referred to as 'a dead man's cut'. It seems that the helmet was stored wrapped in newspaper for many years, and there are some small pieces on paper that continue to adhere to the exterior surface of the helmet. The helmet is in overall very good combat used condition.
