War of 1812 Period Infantry Officer's Chapeau

High chapeau measuring 10 1/2″ high at the front and 11 1/4″ high at the back. Fur felt body shows minor wear, silk edge binding mostly intact. Silver button on the front with crudely etched number 7, leather cockade exhibits an embossed eagle. Partial brown cotton lining, original feather plume shows wear.
