French WWI M1915 Steel Helmet, Medical Troops

Original era manufacture. Standard French M1915 Adrian pattern helmet with its original liner. Correct, and original to the helmet Medical Troops plate on the front. The exterior of the helmet shows scattered dings and dents from service use, with some surface paint loss and light corrosion. We have not made any attempt to improve upon, or clean this helmet, it is exactly the way we purchased it.  The liner leather is quite sound, and has horizon blue wool scrap material used as edging. A final note regarding the difference in the paint color between the medical insignia and helmet body. The plate finish appears to be a lighter hue than the rest of the helmet in our photos. However in hand, you can see the same hue on the comb and other parts of the body. It is the surface grime on the body making the difference. Scarce pattern helmet.
