WWII Japanese Navy Officer Green Field Cap

The cap is constructed of a quality ribbed cotton material with the cap displaying two black bands to indicate officer rank. The front of the cap bears the machine woven insignia of an officer of the Imperial Navy. The front of the cap carries a leather chin strap secured by gilt buttons. The interior has a wide leather sweat band and is fully lined with a burlap type material. There is kanji written on the interior lining, presumably the name of the officer who wore the cap. The cap is in excellent condition, showing only light use.
