British Officer's Shoulder Belt Plate Circa 1790-1810

Oval gilt copper plate, the face engraved with 'GR' cypher within belt and sunburst. Reverse retaining two studs, one missing. The face exhibits about 30% original gilt finish, reverse copper with a dark patina.
