WWII Italian GIL Fascist Youth Uniform Tunic

The wool tunic of a member of the Italian Fascist Gioventù Italiana del Littorio, or youth organization. The collar displays the white 'flame' tabs of the organization with aluminum fasces insignia. Both sleeves carry rank chevrons, while the left sleeve has a bullion embroidered equestrian badge and a metal unit shield for the GIL organization. On the right shoulder is a fascist aiguillette. Draped around the tunic is the red and golden sash of veterans of the Fascist March on Rome. The interior collar of the jacket bears the large label of a tailor in Turin, Italy. The tunic has signs of wear and use to the exterior and interior, but it is in overall very good condition.
