Named Imperial Japanese Navy Officer's Dirk

World War II production Model 1883 pattern Japanese Navy officer's dirk, overall length approximately 16 1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 12 1/4 inches. Leather scabbard with gilt brass fittings. Imitation ray skin grip. This example is of the style without a locking mechanism in the scabbard. Bright blade with a few spots, but no nicks or active rust. There is kanji on one side of the pommel cap which is the original owner's name: 'Imamura'. Overall very good condition.
