Named Japanese Army Type 90 Combat Helmet with Cover

Type 90 Japanese Army combat helmet with first pattern cloth cover. Named to Toyonaga Matashiro. The helmet exhibits approximately 90% of its original olive drab exterior paint. Japanese Army star is affixed to the front of the helmet. The liner is complete and exceptionally clean, with full cloth straps for securing the helmet on the head. Two liner pads present, one missing. The helmet has a very clean first pattern cloth helmet covered, a style used until 1943 when it was replaced by a version with a reinforced edge. The cover is well marked on the interior. A very impressive Japanese Army combat helmet with cover that is in truly exceptional condition.
