Named Japanese Manchuria Unit Fob

Available
$375.00

Description

A striking design, the obverse reads 'Bakugeki' while the reverse reads 'Nomonhan Memento' and 'Manchuria Unit N.o 680'. The word 'Bakugeki' means 'Bombing', and so it is possible that unit 680 participated in the bombing of Manchuria and the fob was presented to a pilot or aircraft crew member. The reverse is engraved 'Presented to Mr. Ogawa ___', with the recipient's first name being unclear. With a 3″ wingspan.
