Model 1841 U.S. Navy Cutlass

The cutlass has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 27-1/2 inches. The blade has a generally gray appearance, with typical spots and scratches as well as a few small areas of surface rust. The brass hilt and basket guard exhibit an uncleaned patina and some verdigris. The brass scabbard throat and drag also have an uncleaned patina. The leather scabbard itself is somewhat dry, with scuffs and flaking, but the scabbard is complete and intact. The number '15' is marked into the underside of the basket guard. Overall the cutlass is in very good condition.
