President Abraham Lincoln visited Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to deliver a brief speech at the dedication of the new Soldier's National Cemetery. Many local residents left interesting eyewitness accounts of Lincoln's visit. These narratives, however, have been largely neglected by historians.
