French Late 19th Century, Brass Fire Helmet

Original era manufacture. A very impressive looking, all brass constructed helmet as worn by the Sapeurs Pompiers of what we believe to be the town of Gasny. The helmet is quite impressive looking, standing 9.5 inches in height, with a pleasing, old brass patina. It is complete except for it's lining, with some scattered minor cracking to the body from age and use. It remains quite sound for display.
