US Civil War M1862 Zouave Bayonet

Original period manufacture. Unmarked polished steel blade measuring 20 inches in length. The blade surface is quite smooth with scattered staining along its length but no pitting. Heavy cast brass guard and grip with the inspector's initials B.H. and the number 2 on the top of the grip. Lock button & springwork but are a little lazy from age. Original leather bodied scabbard with brass chape and throat. Most of the original surface remains on the leather but it shows considerable age and wear, no breaks or repairs in the body.
