Original era manufacture. Chrome finished blade measuring 34 inches in length, showing patches of corrosion along its length, however the blade is straight, not bent. Gilded brass guard and pommel with a silver family Mon on the backstrap. Evidently the family removed the Mon when the sword was surrendered as the surface has been ground down. Black plastic wrapped grip with some dings and dents, triple strand wire binding. The lightly dented scabbard body has been re-chromed.
