French Pattern 1882 Infantry Officers Sword

Original era manufacture. Chromed finish straight blade which measures 32 inches in length. Unmarked save for a retailers name on the obverse ricasso. Areas of lifting to the chrome finish exposing the steel beneath. Steel three branch guard with the top branch having a crack through it. Plain wood grip without any covering, may never have had one. Steel scabbard with a dark corrosion finish, scattered dents throughout its length.
