Italian WWII Distinguished Diver Aircraft Badge, 1st Class, Gold

Original era manufacture. Instituted in 1942 on orders from El Duce, and awarded in three grades Bronze, Silver, Gold. This example is of aluminum with a gilded central insignia indicating the level of gold, or 1st Class. Pinback reverse and maker marked Bomisa Milano on the reverse of the crown. Light age and wear.
