Model 1873 Socket Bayonet with Hoffman Device Hanger

The 18 inch triangular blade is 'U.S.' marked and it retains most of its blued finish, showing some wear and minor surface rust. The steel scabbard similarly retains much of its blued finish while also exhibiting age and use, as well as spots of rust. The brass 'U.S.' component of the Hoffman device hanger shows an uncleaned patina.
