Brown Leather U.S. Army McKeever Cartridge Box

The brown leather cartridge box shows scratches and impressions from carrying wear, but the leather remains in very good polish and the box makes a fine appearance. The brass components show patina and verdigris. The reverse side has what appears to be a name and unit lightly scratched into the surface. Interestingly, one of the belt loops on the reverse side is black leather rather than brown, and it is secured with open rivets as opposed to the closed rivets used on the brown belt loop, and this may reflect a period replacement of the belt loop. Overall very good condition.
