Rare Model 1882 Rock Island Arsenal U.S. Army Cavalry 'Sherman Belt' with Anson Mills Cartridge Pouch

The belt shows use, wear and age, with scuffing of the leather and with the visible 'powdering' of the surfaces that is a typical result of some leather tanning processes. The belt remains pliable, complete and intact. The cartridge belt hanger bears the Anson Mills manufacturer plate, while the belt itself has the faintly visible impressed name of the Rock Island Arsenal.
