Civil War Model 1864 Cartridge Box by H.W. Oliver of Pittsburgh

The black leather cartridge box shows typical age and scuffing, with some flaking of the surface leather. The cover bears the impressed 'US' oval. The closure strap and buckles are intact. The internal tin containers are present. The interior bears the manufacturer mark of the Oliver Company. The brass components of the box show verdigris.
