Civil War Cartridge Box by S.H. Young & Co. of Newark

The black leather cartridge box shows typical age and scuffing, with some flaking of the surface leather. The closure strap and buckles are intact. The internal tin containers are present. The reverse side bears the manufacturer mark of the Young Company. The lower front corner of the cover bears an impressed stamp. The brass components of the box show verdigris.
