A scarce original early post 1953 'Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service Superintending Sister pair of tippet rank badges', gold wire bullion padded Queen's Crown surmounting Queen Alexandra cypher of crossed initials 'A' intertwined around a gold wire anchor, Red Cross below within bullion circlet, the reverse with black hession backing and both with paper labels 'Griscti's Malta Embroiderers' numbered '153'. Good condition, colour and bullion remain bright.Height approx 117mm.
