A good original circa 1960's period 'Girl Guides Our Chalet vintage badge'; alloy example displaying a panoramic view of the International Girl Guide centre situated in the Bernese Alps; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'P. Kramer Neuchatel Brevete' (Paul Kramer of Neuchâtel, Switzerland ). Very good clean condition, complete with original pin fitting, details clear, minimal wear.Height approx 22mm.In 1929 the WAGGGS decided to build a World Centre for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts worldwide. 'Our Chalet' was founded in 1932 by Helen Storrow and opened the same year. It is situated in the Bernese Alps Oberland, Switzerland.
