Italian WWII White Topped Infantry Officers Visor Hat, Rank Lt.Colonel

Original period manufacture. Elegant, white topped visor hat with an Italian green wool band with three gold brocade stripes, one white, two narrow indicating the rank of Lt. Colonel. Gold bullion wire crossed rifle emblem at its front. The white cloth top is not removable and is made of a ribbed cotton material. It show staining and age but no rips or tears. Patent leather visor with a bound edge with a matching material chinstrap. Wide leather sweatband which is securely stitched to the body of the hat, well worn plastic sweatshield which has split from age and shows traces of the original maker or retailers logo. The hat displays well, it is not crushed or broken.
