Description
Original era manufacture. A rather crudely made bayonet with a false edge to the blade, no fullers, straight guard, non-contoured wood grips and a flat, bird-head pommel. The blade displays a very pitted surface, and was produced without an arsenal marking. Original finish grips, with two white kanji painted on the top of the blade tang. No serial number on the pommel, which presents a battered surface, the lock mechanism works as it should. Reddish-brown, rubberized canvas scabbard with surface loss to the belt loops as shown.
