Japanese Meiji Era, Sino-Japanese War, Patriotic Kepi

Original period manufacture. Patriotic hat, or kepi, made of a thin cloth material with a cardboard top disc and visor. Faded gilt paint decoration around the sides of the hat, with a Rising Sun emblem on the crown. Shows age and wear, but no damage. Extensive amount of handwritten kanji on the interior of the crown. Comes with a partial translation sheet.
