Army (Heer) tropical 'Afrikakorps' first pattern pith helmet by Keller & Co.

Hard to find first pattern pith helmet as worn by members of the German Afrikakorps and in other tropical regions such as Italy and Greece. Executed in tan colored canvas (and not felt like the 2nd pattern). Complete with a matching set insignia on both sides of the helmet. Full length chin strap is present and remains in good condition. The sweat band is size marked 55. Maker marked by Keller & Co. . Much harder to find than the second pattern in executed in felt. A solid pith helmet in light worn conditon!
