Red Cross EM/NCO Hewer with 1940 Dated Frog

The blade shows spots, stains and surface dirt, but crossgrain is visible and the blade is generally clean. The reverse ricasso is marked 'Ges. Geschutzt' beneath the langet. The grip plates are without chips or cracks. The guard and pommel exhibit uncleaned patina as well as some spots of verdigris. The black scabbard paint is largely intact, showing some scratches and chips. The leather frog shows age and scuffs, but it is intact. The reverse is manufacturer marked and dated 1940. Overall very good condition.
