Turkish Cavalry Sword, Russian Pattern

Original period manufacture. Russian inspired sword with Persian markings on the ricasso, looks to be a serial number 5296, with a small proof of crossed swords in a circle. The polished steel blade measures 32 inches in length, showing normal age and wear, without nicks in the cutting edge. Simple brass D guard with a ribbed wooden grip. Steel scabbard showing some light denting along its length.  Clean, not a modern Chinese copy.
