Uncleaned 1942 Luftwaffe Ehrenpokal Honor Goblet to Unteroffizier Rudolf Schafer

The Luftwaffe Honor Goblet was awarded on October 20, 1942, to Unteroffizier Rudolf Schafer. The Honor Goblet has an overall height of approximately 8 inches, with a base diameter of 3-7/8 inches. The interior of the base is marked 'Feinsilber Alpaka Auflage' and it is also maker marked by the firm of 'Joh. Wagner & Sohn'. The goblet is without dents and displays a dark and uncleaned mottled patina. Rudolf Schafer KIA 14 September, 1940 when he crashed at Le Harve-Octeville airfield due to Ancilliary failure. Pilot and 3 crew killed. Lt Schäfer buried in the German War Cem. at Champigny-St.Andre, France. Excellent condition.
