The group is comprised of varied documents, and three Arbeitsbuchs, all of which relate to Willi Friedrich and his son Paul, who was born in 1920 and who was killed in action in the war. The group includes the Arbeitsbuchs of both Willi and Paul, as well as documents such as a letter of condolence from a physician and a printed message from the Wehrmacht Office for War Deaths, apparently in reply to a request from Willi Friedrich, informing Willi that they were unable to provide him with a photograph of the grave of his son. This document, sent in September of 1943, would strongly suggest that Paul had been killed in action not long before that time. The documents show typical signs of age, but overall the group is in very good condition.
