US Civil War 54 Piece Bullet Collection, Gardiner Explosive, Shaler Sectional

Original era manufacture.This bullet board represents a very nice selection of Civil War bullets, each identified as to type andif US, or CS used. The collection was assembled by a local man, a WWII Veteran, who collected Civil War memorabilia for most of his life, passing at the age of 94. Several of the highlights include a Gardiner Explosive Bullet, and a Shaler Sectional Bullet, we found examples marked as sold on the net, priced at $145, and $125 respectively. The bullets are held in place with thincopper wire, are fairly secure, but can be removed for individual inspectionif required. Onespace is empty in the lower right corner, otherwise the collection is complete. Nicely done and a great display piece.
