Description

Approximately 5-1/8 inches by 7 inches. The reverse bears a typed description that is designated 'Nur fur den Dienstgebrauch!' ('For official use only!'). The photograph is credited to Luftwaffe Kriegsberichter (War Correspondent) Company 7 (motorized). The typed description on the reverse states 'Sobald bei den Mannern der Sturm flak eine langere Ruhepause bekanntgegeben wird, ist jeder eifrigst dabei, sein Deckunglloch zu graben, um sich gegen feindliche Tiefangriffe und Bombensplitter zu schutzen' ('As soon as a longer lull is announced among the men of the Sturm Flak, everyone is eager to dig their cover hole to protect themselves against enemy low attacks and bomb fragments'). The photograph shows slight curling from age but it is in very good condition.
