Framed 1943 National Socialist Engineering Association Document Signed by Gebhard Himmler, Brother of Heinrich Himmler

The framed 1943 document has overall dimensions of approximately 11-3/4 inches by 14-3/4 inches, with the document itself being approximately 8 inches by 11-1/2 inches. The document was presented by the NSBDT, the Nationalsozialistischer Bund Deutscher Technik, or National Socialist Association of German Engineers. The document formally conferred upon Paul Schmidt the right to use the title of 'Engineer of the NSBDT'. The document was signed in ink by Gebhard Himmler, the older brother of Reichsfuhrer SS Heinrich Himmler, in his capacity as an official of the organization. In 1944, Gebhard Himmler was named a Standartenfuhrer in the SS and he would serve as an inspector of Waffen SS schools. He survived the war and he died in 1982.
