Order of the German Eagle Medal of Merit

The medal is wartime zinc alloy composition with matte gray appearance and showing the loss of finish that is typical of the wartime medals. The suspension ring bears an impressed LDO code that is indistinct. The ribbon shows some soiling and lacks the pin suspension.
