Description

The one liter stoneware stein is approximately 8 inches tall, exclusive of the thumb lift. The stein features the Bavarian crest, the date of 1896, and the declaration of 'Vereinig Ehemal. Kürassiere u. Schwerer Reiter v. Regts. P.C. v. B'. The relief lid features the Munich child and the Frauenkirche, the Munich Church formally known as 'The Cathedral of Our Dear Lady'. The two towers of the cathedral form the thumb lift. The stein commemorates the 1st Schweres Reiter-Regiment (Heavy Cavalry Regiment) 'Prinz Carl of Bavaria' in Munich. The regiment had been formed in 1814 as the Garde du Corps of the King of Bavaria, and it was disbanded in 1919. The stein is in near mint condition without chips or cracks.
