Large 1942 Japanese War Art Book: 'Holy War Art'

Hardcover, with cloth covers. Published 1942 by the Army Art Association (Tokyo). Approximately 10-1/4 inches by 14-1/2 inches. The cover has the title of 'Holy War Art' and the printed signature of General Matsui Iwane. The pages are unnumbered. The book contains numerous images in both black and white and color, all depicting Japanese war art in various mediums, including oil paintings, drawings, and sculpture. The color artworks include 'Attack on Nanyuan' and 'At the Nanxing Bridgehead in Hangzhou'. The book is in excellent condition.
