WH (Heer) M44 Bread Bag

Wehrmacht (Heer) M44 Bread Bag (Brotbeutel Modell 1944). Bread bags were widely utilized by all German military and non-military organizations, so various models and colors were produced. The bread bag was worn attached to the belt on the right side of the back. This is a late war produced simplified example as introduced in November 1944. The belt-hook in the middle has been replaced by a small belt-loop, both the left and richt belt-loop are now fixed loops as well. The main difference of this M44 example with the normal bread bags is the addition of a small compartment to hold the rifle cleaning kit. The breadbag is made of green coloured canvas and blackened and brown leather parts. The breadbag is faintly RB.Nr. marked on the back. Nice and hard to find original late war breadbag in good used condition!
