WWII Japanese Army Officer Visor Cap

The olive green wool visor cap has a red wool cap band and a red piped crown. The surface of the visor exhibits age crazing. The leather chin strap is present, retained by gilt officer cherry blossom buttons. The wool body, cap band, and piping show scattered small bites and holes, none being particularly distracting. The top surface of the cap has some relatively subtle tracking. The interior leather sweatband is intact, as is the cap lining. The lining bears handwritten kanji. The cap retains a very good saddle shape and it makes a fine appearance.
