WWII 9 Inch Tall Ceramic Statue of a Japanese Army Officer with Sword and Kanji Annotations

The ceramic statue is approximately 9 inches tall. The paint shows some wear, and the lower rim of the helmet appears to have a few small and barely perceptible chips. These are probably quite old and possibly even occurred at the time or production, since those spots were painted with what seems to be the same paint that was used on the helmet itself. Otherwise the statue is without cracks or damage and it makes a very good appearance. The back side of the statue bears kanji annotations.
