Cased WWII Era Japanese Blue Ribbon Medal of Honor

The silver medal bears a dark blue ribbon, indicating that the medal was given to an individual who had made a donation of at least five thousand yen for the well being of the public. The bar bears the engraved award date. The reverse of the medal is blank, as this type of the medal was not engraved. The medal is in near mint condition. The lapel bow is pinned to the lid interior. The medal is contained within its black lacquered wood case, which itself shows some scratches but which is in overall very good condition.
