Meiji Period Enlisted Ranks Leather Cavalry Leggings

Medium brown leather leggings for enlisted ranks cavalry of the Meiji period. One legging is lacking the short cloth lace tie strap at the top of the legging. Each legging originally had 12 enamel buttons. One legging is lacking 4 of the buttons, and one of the remaining buttons is chipped. The other legging is lacking 4 of the buttons. The leather is supple and in good polish, and the bottom under-the-shoe straps are intact.
