Description

You are bidding on a SUPERB used example of a WW2 German Kriegsmarine Kieninger & Obergfell 8-day Bulkhead Clock! This was used in many Ships, U-Boats, and Command Centers! These clocks were issued aboardKriegsmarine surface vessels and U-boatsduring World War II, where precise timekeeping was essential for navigation, gunnery coordination, and convoy operations. Typically mounted in theradio room, wardroom, or bridge, the 8-day movement allowed extended accuracy between windings while enduring the harsh conditions of sea service. Each clock was individually calibrated and tested before deployment.Made of brass, aluminum, and steel, this K & O 8-Day Ship's Clock was produced between 1939 and 1942. It is a EXCELLENT example and retains much of the original brass finish! A couple of dents and marks (normal due to the age), however it is still VERY SOLID! Both the serial number and all markings are intact, including the full KM Adler. Some wear to the nickel finish, but nothing that detracts. 100% FUNCTIONAL, this type of clock is shown on page 182/183 of Konrad Knirim's Military Timepieces Book. Comes complete with the original winding key. I have shown this exact clock in use on the Prinz Eugen in the last photo. An EXTREMELY RARE piece of history, it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
