Japanese WWII Army Warrant Officer Full Dress Hat & Storage Box

Original era manufacture. A beautiful example, near new, of the full dress hat as worn by an IJA Warrant Officer. Near perfect midnight blue wool hat with gold cord trim and single body stripe for Warrant Officer. Fire gilt sun emblem at front, black patent leather visor and chinstrap. The interior of the hat displays a black silk lining with white kanji stitching and a thin black leather sweatband with a white silk ribbon bow. Simple white cardboard storage box with remnants of an old paper label on one end. The top shows wear and tearing around it's edges, but overall the box has done it's duty and protected the hat very well for all these years.
