WW2 German Infantry Officers Sidecap

A private purchase German officers sidecap with white soutache for infantry.This cap is typical of those purchased by officers of the German army this example being in high quality tricot wool with silver bullion eagle & cockade both , in my honest opinion , originally stitched to the cap . Both are well seated into the cap with machine stitching visible to one corner of the eagle where it was applied by machine ( see closeup images ). The white soutache I also believe to be original to the cap this being well seated into the cap & under the stitch line of the bottom hem. Interior has the officer typical partial leather sweatband to forehead area marked ' QUALITATS WERKE' with a very typically simple size '55' ink stamped size mark to its grey cotton lining.Superb textbook infantry officers cap.
