Full profileLuftwaffe M38 single decal Fallschirmjäger helmet, G.I. bring back that has not been cleaned or treated in any way, shell stamped ET68, lot number 1421, helmet with aluminum liner bands, having black foam liner pads, the intact but somehwhat dry and cracked leather liner is stamped with size and maker (Heisler) information, chin harness is of grey colored leather and all snaps and slides are still in place, the large snap is stamped PRYM 4H and exhibits light corrosion, the male end of the lower slide snap is absent and its post is oxidized, the four spanner bolts include their nuts and are unmolested, the grey green painted shell's finish is mostly intact and shows overall fine oxidation, the paint is thin at the very top and there are a couple of white spots to the upper dome, there is an area of rust to the right front visor, the bolt faces retain about half of their paint, the Luftwaffe eagle decal would rate at about 85%, helmet was sourced from an American veteran's family, all original example that has never been in a collection, USD $9000
